10/27 Self-Evaluation (Genesis Quezada)
I give myself a 9 this week. This week we worked on the corrections we needed to do for our reserach paper. Also, while Daisy was working on the MLA citations, I was looking in to trying to contact our HISD board member, and possibly get students to write letters on our opinion on school lunches and how we think we can improve it. This way we can all get our opinions out in the open about this matter.

10/21/11 Self Evaluation (Genesis Quezada)
This week, I gave myself a 9. This week we organized our binder. It is much easier to find our information now that our stuff is in the right place. We also cited our sources for our research paper and wrote the bibliography. We talked to our sponsor, Mr. Renner, to help us find a way to raise awareness and raise money for a salad bar.

10/13 Self Evaluation Genesis Quezada.
I give myself a 9 this week. This week Daisy and I completed a draft of our research paper, which helped a lot, because now we feel our research paper will be much easier to do. I also found a very interesting article that says our schools have failed to provide us with water. I hope to investigate more with this, and asking the cafeteria manager myself to see if this is true.

Self-Evaluation 10/7 Genesis Quezada
I give myself a 9 this week. This week we got our thoughts together and constructed a draft of our outline. We then officially made an outline, to have a glimpse of what our research paper will look like. We assigned each other a part of the research paper we will write, so that the work is divided in half, and not left to just one person. We feel confident with our outline and research that we can write a 8-10 research paper.

9/23 & 9/28 self- evaluation reflection (Genesis Quezada)
The week of 9/23 I give myself an 9. I give myself an 8 because I did alot of research on the topic and do the one-pager for our project. I was able to find the certain diseases we might get from cafeteria food, and how much our countries food differ from other countries. With the research I found, I was able to have an idea on how our research paper will go. I was able to put all our informaton together and have a research paper draft.
The week of 9/28 we went to the library. Daisy and I put in all the information we had gathered up from the week and we assigned who was doing what. We split up the work 50/50 and we got to outline the draft we made. Fot the outline, I will be doing the introduction, how our project is local,and information over HISD, cafeteria food, its history and nutrition facts. For that week I give myself an 9.

self evaluations (daisy flores) 9/9-12/2
9/9
I give myself an eight for the week. For the reason being that i did my half which is researching about our subject for most of the period. I spoke to the secretary in the office and she gave me the number tothe hisd food industry. We plan on contacting them to speak about the future changes to our school lunch. Such as adding a salad bar .
9/16
For this week i give myself an eight as well. I found one of the two books that we needed for our capstone. while we interviewed the manager in the cafeteria i wrote down some important information. unfortunately today i had to go to the doctor and missed a class period thus making me behind in our research. I will however make everything up the rest of the week.

I give myself a nine.I typed our partner contract and added some more to it like that we would both respect each other .We went to the library to continue our research in a quiet place. France has a very nutritious meal compared to us. When the students are served pizza their side order is a salad with grapefruit and water. While as in the U.S when we are served pizza it is accompanied by french fries,a brownie,an apple and milk.

I give my self a nine.We combined our research together and created a rough draft of our outline. We decided to split the work. She will do four paragraphs while i do the other four. Im going to type about how it is global, changes being made, changes trying to apply, risks that could happen if this does not change. We did this so that we follow our partner contract(contract states that we do equal work) and the paper is finished faster.

i give myself an eight. After we decided who is writing what in the research paper we started writing the outline. I typed it out afterwards and added a few helpful in formation in the paragraph that was assign for me and corrected a few grammar mistakes. I've started typing on the first paragraph that was assign to me.
It is about how it is global. The cafeteria food is not the same in every country some don't even have a lunch program. Such as Mexico, they allow their students to leave the campus to go home and eat a home cook meal.

i give myself a 9. Genesis and I started right away with our rough draft after we completed our outline.Thanks to our outline it became easier to work. Since we spilt the essay it also made it easier. I found a website that helped a better understanding of what is a healthy school lunch. the website is www.choosemyplate.gov. Apparently our school doesn't meet those requirements. they either don't offer not enough vegetables or grains.

I give myself a 9 for this week. We organized our binder and i must say looks nice. We also cited our work since we had forgotten that in our research paper. I spoke to you this week on ideas for our project. Thank you so much . We are going to make flyers that say information on salad bars to influence people to donate money so HISD can receive salad bars. We plan on posting these flyers in restaurants that have a salad bars such as cici's.

I give myself a nine this week.We both corrected our research paper by fixing some spelling mistakes and adding some extra information. I worked on the MLA citation for our research paper. I had to re- learn how do to one since I forgot how,but it went pretty well . Genesis spoke with Mr. Khalil and he gave us a great idea to speak with the HISD board member. Hopefully we can contact her and change the school lunches for the better.

I give myself an eight this week. We started to make a poster to raise awareness. We plan on making at least three. We are also planing on making some fundraising to donate to the salad bar company.Since we dont think people will be willing to donate money themselves.

I give myself a 8.5 this week. We began to take pictures of the food the school provides us. We actually received pizza the whole week. The whole week! This really made me concern on the food they provide us with. Our friend actually received a burned burger! Every picture we took is gross. We plan on posting these pictures on our blog.

I give myself a 9 this week. We felt that pictures isn't enough to show our audience how gross the food the school serve us is.So we decided to make a video where we interview students. We would ask these students on their thoughts about the food. We were lucky enough to interview a teacher . We also plan on posting this video on our blog.

This week i give myself a 9 . We spent the whole week preparing for capstone night. We did extra research so that we can answer any question our audience asks us. We did our best on posting allot of visual on our tri fold board. Unfortunantly we could only get one picture of the actual food we receive at school. Capstone night was long an intense but overall it was an awesome experience.
